How to share own building blocks between projects

Postby mga » 21. Dec 2009, 15:50

Hi

I've created a bunch of reusable components and still need to extend them. Some collegue wants to start a new project already -- but only one project can be loaded at any time.

So: what is the best way that we can both continue working -- me on the infrastructure and him on the first real test cases?

Cheers

Ok, I think I got it: Export as Library, which one can import, if a project is open...

Notice, that our definition of "importing" a library is slightly different from what you might think: in order to avoid the "dll hell" of microsoft programs which, when a new dll is installed, may cease to work properly, our import-function actually copies the library into your projec. That means that it will continue to run unchanged, even if the original library is changed or even removed. If you want to upgrade your project for a new import-library's version, you have to "reimport".
