Postby duetto » 23. Dec 2009, 23:04

hi all,

the following are examples from the at: method in the PersistencyManager class. the first is from v5.4.2. the second is from v5.4.6. where is the rest of the code in v5.4.6(i.e. method signature, etc)? anyone else having this problem? this is under windows xp.

v5.4.2 ******************************************
at:aKey
"retrieve the object stored under aKey.
Return nil, if nothing is present under that key.
For protocol compatibility with dictionaries"

^ self retrieve:aKey

"Modified: 12.5.1996 / 14:49:47 / cg"

v5.4.6 ******************************************
stored under aKey.
Return nil, if nothing is present under that key.

^ self retrieve:aKey

"Modified: 12.5.1996 / 14:49:47 / cg"

i failed to mention that classes of mine, filed in from v5.4.2, display correctly as well as none PersistencyClasses (eg. B-Tree, Date).

This is usually caused by version mismatch between compiled class library and source code (i.e. class was compiled from different source). Check of whether the package path:
Code: Select all
Smalltalk packagePath

points to correct directories.
